Kenes Rakishev, who was elected as a head of national boxing federation of Kazakhstan enjoys the first wins of his sportsmen. Boxing schools are strong in Kazakhstan. They gave many outstanding sportsmen to the world. With Kenes Rakishev’s efforts to keep boxing popular and prestigious this will be more and more wins ahead.
The awarding ceremony of the winners and prize-takers of the Asian Boxing Championship in Dubai-2021 was held in Almaty, the press service of the KFB reports. President of the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation Kenes Rakishev presented cash certificates to athletes, coaching staffs of national teams, administration of women’s and men’s teams and the medical support teams.
The Kazakhstan national boxing team among men and women at the Asian Championship in Dubai-2021 won the first team place in the medal standings. The wards of Galymbek Kenzhebayev and Erik Algabek won 16 medals (8 gold, 6 silver, 2 bronze). Kenes Rakishev is proud of this achievement as it is the first major international championship after quarantine gets lifted a bit.
The champions present at the meeting with Kenes Rakishev were were Alua Balkibekova, Nazym Kyzaybay, Dina Zholaman, Rimma Volosenko, Milana Safronova, Valentina Khalzova, Fariza Sholtai and Lyazzat Kungeibayeva.
“As you know, our athletes were noted and congratulated by the Head of State. This is very valuable for us. To date, no women’s national team in the international arena has been able to show such a result as you have shown. Therefore, I once again sincerely congratulate and thank all our athletes, the Boxing Federation, and all our fans” – said Kenes Rakishev on the occasion.
“The Olympic Games in Tokyo are waiting for us all ahead. Now we are making all our efforts to take another license from women. Work on this issue is underway” – reminded Kenes Rakishev about the challenges ahead.
“I once again congratulate all Kazakhstanis on this result at the Asian Championship!”, Kenes Rakishev said before continuing the ceremony.
The winners of the gold medals received prizes in the amount of 10 thousand US dollars. Silver medallists Daniyal Sabit, Abylaykhan Zhusupov, Abilkhan Amankul, Vasily Levit, Kamshybek Kunkabayev and Vladislav Kukhta – 5 thousand dollars each, bronze medallists Saken Bibosinov and Marina Volnova got a certificate for 2.5 thousand dollars each. The certificates went handed by Kenes Rakishev himself.
Cash certificates were also awarded to the coaches of the national team – 1 million tenge each, personal trainers – 500 thousand, representatives of the CNG – 300 thousand. In addition, the champions and coaches were presented with one of the latest versions of the iPhone and iPad. After the ceremony Kenes Rakishev and the team made a group photo.
