Pacific Northwest Dental has a new owner. Dr. Eric Xu recently purchased the clinic from Dr. Chad Kleven, and the dental office is being rebranded to Precision Dentistry of Olympia.
“Chad established a reputation for dental excellence and compassion. All of his patients speak so highly of him,” Dr. Xu said. “To be able to step into this practice and take over from him is a significant honor for me. I am humbled that he thinks enough of me to entrust his patients into my care. So many of the patients look at Chad as a member of their family. I plan to earn their trust with each visit.”
Dr. Xu graduated from the University of Washington with honors, a B.Sc. in Biochemistry, and a minor in Bioethics. He then graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry at the top of his class.
“The University of Washington sets a high standard for undergrads and an even higher standard for the School of Dentistry. To get into the school is a major accomplishment. To graduate at the top of the class – well, I had excellent professors who instilled the need for compassionate and high-quality dental care.”
Dr. Xu takes a conservative approach to dentistry, where patient safety, care, and satisfaction are paramount. In pursuing his DDS, he focused on preventative dentistry, implants, and cosmetic procedures.
“Your smile is something people notice and remember. I want the people you meet to walk away with the best impression possible,” he said.
The practice will continue the quality family dentistry care generations have come to rely on.
“Dr. Kleven saw patients, their parents, and their grandparents. I plan to do the same as the years pass,” Dr. Xu said. “To do that, I know this clinic has to give the best possible service, and that starts when you make an appointment.”
At the University, Dr. Xu was a student member in the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Operative Dentistry and received their esteemed travel award, highlighting his unwavering dedication to professional growth and providing exceptional dental care. Dr. Xu is an active member of renowned dental organizations like the Washington Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Thurston-Mason County Dental Society, ensuring he remains connected to the latest trends in his field.
In his personal life, Dr. Xu values quality time spent with family and friends. He enjoys exploring various eateries, indulging in wine and coffee tastings, and immersing himself in outdoor activities to appreciate nature’s beauty. A passionate cook, he delights in crafting elaborate meals for intimate gatherings and finds joy in playing board games with friends to unwind and foster meaningful connections.
