Samsung will remotely disable TVs that were taken from its distribution center

Samsung has uncovered that even its TVs can be distantly handicapped, like its cell phones and tablets. The Television Block Function that is incorporated into its TVs can be enacted if the organization discovers that the unit is taken or unlawfully obtained by a client. As of late, a lot of TVs were taken from Samsung’s warehouses and retailers in South Africa during the distress and uproars.

The Television Block Function is pre-stacked on all Samsung TVs that can interface with the web. The South Korean firm has referenced that it has actuated the component on every one of the TVs that were taken in South Africa, and such TV units will be impaired when they are associated with the web. The organization is likewise wanting to utilize this element in different markets if the need emerges.

Samsung said that it can easily cross-check the serial numbers of TVs that are taken and upload them on its workers. When taken TVs are associated with the web, they are disabled and must be enabled after the clients present their evidence of purchase.
